Are you sure it is the compressor itself? A loose and or old hard belt can cause slipping and the resulting squeal can make it sound like it is from an accessory.

Well today is a sad day. I am forced to sell the Cruiser. We discovered mold in our basement from a small leak. Unfortunately our insurance isn't covering it. You can check out the build thread in my sig. I am planning on finishing it up with a fresh paint job, rock sliders, and air conditioning.

Here is the short list:
Rust free 1985
Chevy 350 TBI crate motor 65K
700R4 less than 2000 miles on it
split case via Advance adapter
Custom front and rear bumpers
9000lb winch
FZJ80 front and rear locking axles
FZJ80 suspension
Front power and heated leather seats from 2003 land rover
Rear (middle section) leather seats from 2003 Land rover
brand new set of 5 35" Goodyear duratracs

Asking price is $16,000

I do have a few more small things to finish up on it (other than things listed above). Price is negotiable depending on what you are willing to finish.

Man that's a great truck....more or less my dream cruiser. Unfortunately I don't have anything (remotely) close to 20k to offer. Good luck with the sale and in getting the house fixed up.

I say do it! Go 80! I've never owned ether, so i probably don't know what i'm talking about.
My only reason for it is because I'm not a big fan of IFS.

If your wife is like mine, I think that trade would have you sleeping in the dog house for quite a while, Travis. It might not be so bad, though if your dog house is big enough for you and a sweet 60.
