An offer on a house with no garage!?? Your wife must have had something to do with this.

Bummer to have to sell all the stuff.

It has a small 2 car garage, but I will be leaving a much bigger 2 car garage, and a 16'x16' shed. :princess: gets one bay for her Mini Cooper by default, and the other bay gets stuffed with all the gunk from from the shed, my tools and motorcycle. leaving no room for Cruiser, cruiser parts, much less a place too work.

The plan is to build a 800 ft^2 shop with high door garage bay, but that will not happen till we sell the current house. In this market that could be months even years. We will rent it till then.

Let us know where your moving to. Another cruiser head in the East Mountains, NICE!

How about West Texas Cruisers?

;p

WRONG!!!! Snowy Desert C's, perhaps.

Wherebouts in EM are you moving, N r S of 40? Neighborhood won't tell the valleydwellers where u live: I'm in Ponderosa Pines, Dan is Sandia Knolls, and we're pretty well dispersed in between. 2 in the canyon, 1 just down the street from me.

Gotta say I'm terribly tempted w/yr 40 project, but finalizing the purchase of the place I've lived these past 10 yrs included a vow to buy no more 'toys' until I had a place to put them.

Guess what I'll be using the rebate $ for?? :grinpimp:

Just found out a few hours ago the seller on the EM house flaked out. I think it was a case of seller's remorse. Our offer was considerably lower than the asking price. Plan B: We are now moving forward in negations on a house in Corales. This one has a nice big 3 car garage.
I will be able to hang on to the project for now, but much less likely to ever get a 800 ft^2 work shop, and the 20 minute EM commute sure sounds better than the Corales 50 minute commute to KAFB. Life is full of compromise.

Corrales isn't bad, and I don't think the 20 minutes vs. 50 minutes is accurate, especially if it's on the north side of Corrales and you go through Bernalillo - unless it's 20 minutes from the Big I to KAFB.

Sounds good--grab the stuff and maybe I'll get the bumper from you eventually. I tweaked the pass side pretty good and tore off the plastic end. I'm envisioning an "upgrade" that would keep some of this bumper and lose the ends, so if I can do it, I won't worry about a nice bumper anyway.

 catfight? hardly! more of a "hey jerk my crap is more broken than yours.. i want it" discussion

David you can have the front bumper. but i really would be interested in your take off bumper if it's not too bad of shape. i was merely hoarding since the price was right and 80 parts are scare in NM, let alone clean parts. I'll get the stuff from Sean and we can check it all out...

although i have no interest in saving running boards. Rudy, do you want those?

sorry to hear about yr not moving up here (yet).

A 20m commute to KAFB requires living along the I40 corridor: Sedillo Hill, Village of Tijeras, Carnuel. I budget 20m to get to the Tijeras stoplight, and from there I'm at any of my varying work locations in another 20-35m.

Having occasionally worked the Alameda/I25 n Coors/Paseo transit areas, I can see where you come up w/those commute times, especially if you're an 8am worker.

I'm back from leave. John give me a call and I'll get everything but the running boards to you. Radford pm me your number and I'll get the running boards to you. Thanks.

No affliation with this guy, but it does have the magic dial if anyone is looking for that. He has it listed 6500 OBO, OBO being the key word. It's not a '97 but a '96 if that is important. He has it not too far from my house. He said it is going to the west side in a couple of days.

Ali's post show's that this guy doesn't know what he has. Doesn't look like a 4.5" lift and we all know 305's won't end up being 35's.

Shall we text him? All of us?

SOR Half Doors

I have a set of denim half doors from Spector. They were on the vehicle when I first got it. Spector sells them for $243 and I'll let them go for $115. Here is them on Spector's website. Specter Off-Road Land Cruiser Parts - Page 273 Land Cruiser Half Doors

In one week I will move these to craigslist and the main MUD board.

Hey Mojo - I'll take those doors off your hands for you! :)

I think you have Ron's (frobuster) number? Give us a call whenever is convenient and we'll arrange to get them from you. I'll pm you with the number too just in case...

Thanks!

There is so much Toyota stuff out there....hell, they make modular homes....we saw them in Japan.

When you really start digging into the entire Toyota corporation, it's amazing what they have their hands involved in.

PS: Corrales to KAFB is definitely not 50 minutes. I do Corrales to the airport in generally 20 minutes (sometimes less).
