Made a little more progress.

Installed the stereo.

Snorkel is installed.

Switched out the locks to the ones from my parts Lexus. It had 2 keys and this one only had one. Tried to get another one made but had issues getting them made from the VIN.

Fixed the passengers seat (it was stuck all the way forward).

Started on the wiring harness for the alarm and remote start.

What neighborhood are you hanging out in?

Had to go to the West Bottoms to pick up popcorn. Use to work in the building in the background during high school so many years ago.

Noticed the Y pipe developed a leak a few days ago. Ordered a “scratch and dent” Magnaflow Y pipe off of Amazon and saved $85. Went over during the day yesterday and cut out the old and fitted up the new and @2fpower helped by burning it all in.

To clarify, I cut off the cat that came with it and replaced it with a single Magnaflow high flow cat. Tucks up in there better.

Anyone have any fender flares for 95-97??

I believe I finally found a set. They are being taken off the donor vehicle and hopefully will be shipped next week. No hurry at this point as it will be too cold to spray them for awhile but at least I finally located some.

Installed a remote start/keyless entry/security system just in time for the sub zero temperatures. My car always parks outside so this will make it much nicer to get into these cold mornings. Took about 7 hours to install the system but we did 2 80’s at the same time.

Also installed a remote start in the wife’s 2016 4Runner. It was nice because it utilized the factory key fob that’s built into the key. Hit the lock button 3 times and it starts. Bought the system off a guy on online who provides all the details to install it and with all the wires broken out and harnessed together. Only took 12 wires and about 1 hour to install.

@StucknKS I must have missed it the first time through your thread, but what color did you spray your rig ?

I tinted the Monstaliner to the Toyota Quicksand (4V6). I parked next to a Quicksand Tacoma the other day and it is a pretty close match. Mine is a tiny bit lighter shade.

@StucknKS What model remote start did you get? Or do you have a link to the seller? after the last couple of days, I'm thinking about one for my LX470.

For the 80 series we put in Viper alarm/remote start units. We put one in @7powernerd UTE at the same time.

Does your Lexus have a transponder key? Not sure what year they started doing that. I know my 2001 F-150 did. That will make a big difference in which system you use.

As @2fpower stated, we used a Viper 5305V.

I emailed the guy I got the one for the 4Runner from to see if he offers anything for a LX470. I'll let you know what I find out.

That would be great is he does one for the 100/470. I'd definitely be interested in something that integrates with the stock fob
