Wil...very nice rig.
How are you liking the ARB Rear bumper... Any feedback from wheeling?? Overhang?? etc

So far I like it. Its a pain to install. I was a bit worried about the departure angle, but think that it will work better. The bumper is definately not designed for the 37's, but works. The tire blocks the rear tail light/signals, but with the additional ones in the bumper it keeps me legal.

so is the comp lift just the 6" lift? If I am reading correctly you liked it better than the 4"? I am at 4 but considering going up to 6.

You gotta remember, the lifts from Australia are going to consider anything above 3" a "competition lift" to avoid geometry certification rules their DOT has.

So, if you're at 4" now and want more the 6" will probably suit you very well. Feel free to give me a call to discuss.

How is the steering and handling with the Ironman 6" lift on the highway? Pretty stable and safe feeling? How are you liking the 5.29/37" tire combo?

5.29 is good with the 37's. Bit slow on the freeway. There is some bump steer, but that is expected with larger tires. The 6" feels like an OME lift, just way bigger.

Wow, I guess all of the old taco owners from ttora are getting into 80"s now? Looks good, although I thought youd keep it low like your taco was.

What antenna is that [orange device?] in the window you are using for your Garmin 60Csx?

Just found this thread. Amazing 80, Wil! Any new mods or more photos of the truck in action? Want to trade for my 40?! Just kidding. Would sure love to build an 80 like this some day, though.

It is going to depend on what rack you're using, if its the FrontRunner Slimline, or the Slimline II, they will require different mounting solutions:

Options:
  1. Mount feet directly to the rack
  2. Use a cradle
  3. Light brackets in conjunction with cradle

If you need help feel free to give us a call and we'll help you out 866-507-4254

In this pic, you can see my 80 in the font, with a customer's 80 in the background running a Slimline I. The 4 silver bolts on the font of the rack are for the spot light brackets for the slimline I rack (which have been discontinued).

In case anyone wonders we had to make custom light mounts to fit the ARB intensity lights.

Can you get more pictures of the rear ARB bumper? Several different angles would be great. I've always wanted one but have yet to find pictures that do a good job of showing how it looks.

I won't gum up your thread. Decided, for now, to mount my 40" directly to the front of the slimline II rack via drilling. Was not what I wanted, but I knew I wouldn't have willing sets of hands to help for awhile. Figured get it done, and modify to my hearts desire in the near future.

What number is that you posted? Are you SierraExpeditions.com? Might call to bounce some ideas off you.

Working on the 360º Lighting for the truck right now. have the majority of the area lighting done. Considering the Intensitys, but no one local has them. What are your thoughts on them?
