How does Copart work? Do you bid? They don’t want anywhere near 218k, right? If the frame is not bent, it would be sweet to find a 43 body and swap everything over.

looks pretty tweaked tho, thanks for the post very interesting!

I think I remember seeing this a few weeks back and est value was 48k when someone linked it.
Maybe I’m thinking of another nice fj they had.

I watched a YouTube guy rebuild a gtr bought from them. A few years back people could get better deals before they became well known and more people started bidding.

Hopefully someone buys that will document and share so we can watch it come back to life

Not cheap from FJ Company. I wonder if it will have a salvage title?

You have to use a broker to bid. Out of all the car auctions out there, Copart has the highest fees. Once you hire a broker, you will have access to all auctions, not just Copart.

Man, what a gut punch.

estimated retail value, is the value at the time of the loss, so if it had full coverage that is what the insurance company paid out,
on higher value rigs there will usually be a minimum price the insurance company will accept.
there is a 2006 LX 470 locally that is going on its third auction as it hasn't met minimum the last 2 times and the minimum keeps dropping each time.
copart, you can leave a deposit to bid or use a broker, but as stated the fees add up. say you win an auction for $3500 figure close to $500 in fees so you're in closer to $4000 by the time you actually get the rig.

Looks like it’s all fix up 😉

It was a joke.

Bumping an old thread. Did some searching, no trace. No clue where this one ended up, but I had to laugh when I realized I have this one’s older brother. One VIN number off. 108233.
