So my GF found this FJ62 last year she wanted it, then changed her mind after buying ( huge move from Fl to Arkansas) so its mine now! Previously I had found a 74 Wagoneer that she would bomb around in it but it got stolen in Fl (never recovered). Been tinkering with "Elsie" (her name not mine haha) since last year. Rust repair on rear tailgate, minor spots but mostly rustfree, Painted, Brakes all around including M/C, new fuel system front to back, OEM tank. Got it running driving last week, finding issues and fixing them, tail lights, light switch, heater fan its got A/C compressor kicking on, but needs charge and leak checked. Spent majority of today on gages Fuel tank gage now working, Alt gage working, temp gage barely registers but is moving. Oil pressure inop looks like bad wire in engine bay. Power steering and belt adjusted, alternator working. Waiting on the 2 vac switches to disengage transfer case. And now all power windows working. Need new rotor cap wires button and plugs. its got a ignition problem and came with non OEM wires/cap. Its a pleasure to work on quality components that hadnt been used since 1996 and being able to revive them.
