Morning all,

Weird one: my '89 LC is generally running like a top. Took my son to school this morning and on the return home, tried to put up the front passenger-side window. No dice. Does not work using the power switch from the driver's side or the switch at the passenger side. Moreover, the rear windows (driver and passenger side) don't work. Before I start pulling the card etc. off the front passenger side, my guess is that they are daisy chained from that point back?

Any confirmation/counsel would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you make sure the window lock switch on the master assembly isn't set?

I know it sounds stupid, but I've caught myself with that more times than I care to admit....

what skniper said. Check that 30a silver fuse with the hole in it...use a paper clip or something to "push" the thing inside to reset the breaker, or, check whether the power control module (the little box inside of the door assembly) is kaput. These are the likely suspects.

The relay box inside the driver's door won't affect the other windows, so if the driver's window is still working, the box is good.

Which reminds me I need to order more relays for my refurb service.....

You don't mention whether the driver's side front window still works. If it does, either the "window lock" rocker switch on the master switch panel is set to "on," or the switch itself is borked (which is what happened to mine). The "window lock" switch simply interrupts the path to ground for all of the other windows motors, preventing them from getting power. If you ground the hot side of that switch and the windows work again, you have your solution.

I'm having similar issues and trying to troubleshoot with little success. My rear windows are both working so it's only the front passenger window. Think it may be my master switch. Any decent sources for replacement....or a rebuild?

the green circuit board in the drivers sometimes
corrodes and will stop the windows from working. pop the green housing open and see if there’s corrosion. if so @Spook50 can refurbished it

edit: lol i didn’t see spook had already replied earlier.
