I am looking at turning my 1990 FJ62 into and Expedition Vehicle for my family and I am tossing around a couple of ideas. What I wanted to know is: What Toyota Trucks, if any, share the same body style as the FJ62?

Thanks.

Body

I think Land Cruise does not share any common panels with any other vehicle that was shipped to america

None whatsoever - at least in the US.

I'm not necessarily looking for common panels, I am more looking at similar body style and lines. To give you a little more idea about what I am thinking about doing, I am looking at possible converting my 62 into a crewcab expedition vehicle with a pickup bed or possible a flatbed.

do a search for 'bobbed' 60's, and you'll see what some folks have done along those lines for rockcrawling.

nothing shares the same lines. The creativity is in your metal working and welding skills.

I agree, it's time to sharpen your fabrication skills.;)

There was a bobbed rig in Australia that might be what you have in mind. 2X try the search.

My God, that thing is hideous!!!!
When your remote house/property is threatened by flames, you gonna turn that beast around 'cause it's hideous?

^^ I agree. Anything made from a 60, especially some Japanese factory/outsourced specialty vehicle, is beautiful.

Those Japanese firetrucks are cool. I have seen one up close and personal and they are extremely well done. Not useful in the US, but cool. Pismo Jason has one and it is a sweet truck. They arn't wheelers, but a great conversation piece for a Cruiserhead.

 Here's a video just for you:clap:

I'd welcome it with open arms even without the threatening flames surrounding my house . . . that thins is BEAUTIFUL!!

The transition from Cruiser to fire truck isn't as smooth as the 40 fire trucks. I also don't like FJ45LV's because I don't think the lines are smooth on them either.

^^^KBIII, thanks for the linky. When those KITH guys played chicks...now that was hideous, eh!
