Hi All:

Ron, the quickest/easiest way to tell a "F" motor from a "2F " in my opinion is to look at the valve cover - the 'cover on the "F" is stamped steel while on the "2F" it is aluminum.

Also, I believe that the first couple of digits on the engine serial number will be either "F" or "2F" (found on the passenger's side of engine, above & to the left of the distributor.)

HTH.

Does anyone who has replaced their stock exhaust have the OEM muffler (center) they would like to sell? The Borla cat back is on factory backorder and is out 6 weeks. My existing muffler is shot and I am afraid the patch job I did won’t last the upcoming trip to the Outer Banks!
If you kept your stock muffler and want to sell send me a PM with your asking price. Thanks. – Jon

DAMN !!
I tossed my (perfect) OE muffler in the dumpster last weekend !!

I was lookng at it taking up space in my garage, and thought...why the hell would I ever need this thing ?...It Figures !!

Thanks - I will check it out.

Hard Top/Windshield Bracket?

I finally found a hard top, but it did not come with the windshield to hard top bracket. Specter calls it a visor?, but its the bracket that is riveted to the top and bolts the hard top down to the winshield. Without it my hard top becomes a sail. Need a pre 1975 version. Thanks, Scott

1976-1978 Aisin carb. Condition Rebuildable

I need a stock Aisin from a 1976-1978 FJ40 2f. Condition can be either working or not working i.e. in need of rebuild. I would prefer the in need of rebuild condition.

Thanks.

PS pump pulley

Found power steering setup for my conversion. It's from an 84 4WD p/u. complete except for pump pulley. It appears that it needs to accept approx. 1/2 inch shaft with keyway. Any one have one or know where to get right one or equivalent? Thanks,

can reply here or at work at: gerald@chambersandassocaiates.com

Springs - '96

I know all of you out there that have 'OME'-ed yourself MUST have your old springs gathering dust (or rust) somewhere.....

I'm looking for rear springs for my '96 LX...preferably with low miles on them...

I have a few of the linkages but not al them, or the pedal if it helps. I could send you all I have for $15. Let me know if you want some pics. I think the linkages I have are everything you need except for the pedal and one bracket that holds the linkage on the firewall.

1977 FJ55 Parts I need.

I need a few items for my 1977 pig. Here is a list of items I need.

[1] Passengers front turn signal housing. I have two complete ones but the bases are fricken rusted out. The rest is solid.

[2] Tailgate release handle. Mine is busted but still works for now.

[3] Hubcap for the rear. Looking for dent free as possible.

Hmm? Pto? Winch? Well maybe not now... well send me a pm with prices and condition of all items. I am in Boise Idaho.

Rats! I left mine at the exhaust shop too. Never thought I would ever need or use it again, nor do I have the room to store the system.

I think the Borla is just right for sound. It's actually wasn't as throaty as I thought it was going to be, then again with the cabin so well insulated, I'm not surprised. With the rear vent windows open, I can hear it a bit better.

The only time it really burbles is with a slight load. Not at all intrusive on the freeway. If you're expecting a Gibson or Cherry bombs, this won't be it.
