That is the '73 linkage for sure. Need more pics of the carb to be totally sure it's '73.

Cool, I can't remember which of three rigs it came out of, I thought two were 74's and the one I am finishing is a 72. But I would bet one wasa 73, only one tup had any VIN plates after all, and the PO sold me these out of his field so he had no idea what they were.

Hey Andre,

The Tractor Supply Company has a great deal right now on the Hobart Handler 180, I think it was the welder, cart and a gas bottle for one price.

You can check them out on line.

I'll talk to you early next year about the web page.

Soft Top

The top is a K-line. Unfortunately I cannot speak to how hard it was to make work. It came with it when I bought it. I think the hardest part about finding a top for one of these very early LCs is the door shape.

Standard Roof Rack FJ62/HJ60/BJ60

Need the roof rack that came standard on these models. Must be great condition

I've got the standard roof rack that was commonly added to US models. As far as I can tell, it's never seen any use. It came from a 87 FJ60 that I just recently repainted. It may be missing a screw or two, as my painter removed it. All the major parts are there, including the strips that stick to the roof to keep luggage from messing up the paint.

E-mail for more info. Located in Lewisville, TX 75057

Roger that Roger,

Ever been in a Turkish prison?

I'm off the hook on this one. LX450-specific stuff gots to come from a Lexus dealer......

Doesn't that VIN suggest it has a diesel? JT6HJ88...

Ever been in a Turkish prison?

Anyone here ever been in a Turkish prison....??

You'll watch too many movies... :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Yeah, they're really bad....you think Federal Pen. is bad, try being 'bad' in Turkey. You'll get a fist in the face (about thirty times), then some broken knee caps (about thirty times), and then you'll be left sitting around in your own snot, spit, urine, and shat for about thirty days.

Then they'll start it all over again.

As much as I hate the movie ('Midnight Express' is what I assume Dan is referring to), it is pretty right-on about Turkish prison conditions...

So should we send this Shirley there? :D

Best.

NOPE, wrong movie. Try again. Here's a BIG hint, the character's name is Captain Oveur, the actor is Peter Graves:

"Joey, do you like movies with gladiators?"

Here's a link to the Shirley line, in case you still don't get it:
