Hi all!

I have posted on here once before but I would like to become more active and connect with more of you. I will reintroduce myself, my name is Blake and I am originally from Columbus, Ohio but I am now living in central Kansas where I go to school at McPherson College. At McPherson I am studying automotive restoration and about a year and a half ago I acquired a dream car, a 1987 Fj60. I have been slowing replacing worn out items here and there as money permits and it has been a blast seeing the LC start to take shape.

Over my spring break a few weeks ago some fellow students and I departed on a Route 66 trip from McPherson, KS to Holbrook, AZ and we were in nothing but classic cars. We had the opportunity to meet @POTATO LAUNCHER in Amarillo on our ride back to Kansas and it certainly was Land Cruiser heaven! Thank you for the hospitality.

Now to my question. Last August I was returning to Kansas from Monterey, CA and somewhere in Wyoming I almost hit a deer going 60 mph. I decided that I would like to replace my stock front bumper with an ARB one but the only thing holding me back is the cost. I have seen a couple options online around the $1,200-$1,300 range but of course as a college student that really isn't in the books. I have surfed marketplace and a couple other places that a used one may pop up but have not come across anything. Does anyone have an ARB front bumper that they would be willing to part ways with or know of any other options I could check out?

Thank you guys and I look forward to connecting with more of you!

Welcome. That’s an awesome truck and looks like you give it a great life.

I do t have a lead, but would keep an eye on the classified section here and also check your local clubhouse.

Just ride FB marketplace, CL, local classified through here and keep your head on a swivel when driving around the back roads.
Being active in your local cruiser community is probably your best bet. It’s how I scored my ARB bumper for roughly half of what you are seeing. Just be patient and spread the word that you’re looking.

Yeah. A lot of people don't want to deal with shipping something like that. So, a local will likely give you a better deal.

Yes, this will be a lifelong truck for me and I look forward to sharing its continued progress on here. I will keep an eye out on the classified section, thank you!

Thank you thank you! I will just keep surfing the web and also try to connect with some more local people.

How much "restoration" do you want to do? I have an aluminum bull bar that is quite similar to the ARB design, pretty sure it's Australian but it's not stamped with a mfg. Looks like someone hit a bollard on the left side, the wing is bent back maybe 4-5 inches or so. Prob needs some aluminum cut out and welded to straighten it. the rest of it is fine, no corrosion. But I'll make it worth your while if you're interested. Weighs about 40 pounds.

I am always down for a project. Any chance you could throw up a picture so I could see what it looks like?

Thanks!
