The fJ60 Heater core O-rings have a somewhat unique shape and the OEM 96711-19016 orings are discontinued.

Anyone have luck finding a suitable replacement part?

Thanks, Murf

A few mudders, including myself, have had them soldered up at a radiator shop.

I always think in my head that o-rings are typically a rubbery type material but @red66toy you’ve had them soldered so they’re metal?

Oh no, sorry. I should have worded that better. The joints were soldered together which eliminates the need for o-rings.

I have not been able to find a suitable replacement that did not leak --- I ended up having to reuse the old ones with a bit of RTV. Next time I will take to a rad shop and have them soldered.

This is how someone else handled it:

Of course ! (Facepalm) makes sense, thanks guys

I recently purchased them new from Toyota. $7ea as I recall. I'll try to find the part number I bought and post it up...

EDIT: Here is the part number I was given from Toyota: 96711-19016, $6.96ea (CAD)

I hate to be that guy but you might want to tell your parts professionals that if they did even a simple Parts Information inquiry they would see this.... Definitely not discontinued.

You get your parts out of LA anyway.... 2 there. :)

Remind your guys that "D1" Class Code doesn't mean DISCONTINUED.
