According to various online Toyota parts sources, current Toyota part # 43512-60100 is the new part number for FJ60 OEM rotors, replacing numbers 43512-60040, 43512-69015 and 43512-69016 (those three are no longer available.

Having physically received the new OEM rotor part # 43512-60100 and comparing it to the old OEM rotors, it seems to me that the "new" rotors can't be right. Can someone please tell me what is going on ?

Here is why with pictures to follow:
1) The new rotor does not have the two smaller holes for the 2 small bolts that fasten it to the wheel hub, it only has the 6 holes for the wheel studs.
2) the new rotor seems to be larger in diameter than the old rotor.

What gives ? Does Toyota still make the "correct" rotor ?

I'm sorry I didn't understand what you were saying, can you explain ? In particular, what is "it" ? Is the set of rotors I have the OEM version from 90-99 ? Is that what you are saying ? Please clarify.

Think it's the same rotor toyota sells for the cruisers from 76-90 fronts, even though they are missing holes for the 76-78 models(I think did away with the correct rotor)

The rotor part number is from the 7* series 90-99 . In 84-90,the 60 and 7* series also used the same rotor.
The 60 series and 7* series are very similar in earlier models ,slightly wider chassis and axles and a different body. Many suspension, drivetrain, engine and electrical parts are shared in various markets, and obviously the brakes as well.

Thanks for the info.

just curious -- i can get the NAPA rotor less than 1\2 of OEM. any reason not to?

I used raybestos which ended up being Chinese. Was disappointed but not surprised.

I would have gladly done these instead at that price, but the truck stops good as is. Couldn't stomach the price of the DBA rotors...

I was told straight from Georg of VH that the after market rotors work just as well. He goes with them all the time.

Ive used OEM , DBA and some really cheap chinese drums. Didn't notice any difference between the 3

Any experience with Brembo rotors for an FJ60 ?

No experience. I don't see how they could improve braking, except maybe shed heat more efficiently, which would be good on mountainous roads. I think good disc pads are a better investment. Good pads often wear out the disc quicker because the material is more abrasive, but that's also more frictional grip.
I saw them on eBay, they do look good:grinpimp:

It's the correct rotor. Run it.

Don't use the two smaller bolts.
Beno,

Do you sell these rotors?

Can you PM your number or post it here? I lost it...
