FJ60/62 TC on A440F in FJ80?

Post resurection. Figured I'd ask here instead of making a fool of myself in the 80-section.

From the Slee Newbie Guide in the 80-Series FAQ here on IH8MUD.

"3FE 4.0L engine and A440F automatic transmission held over from the 62 series wagons."

Since the transfer cases can be shared between a FJ60 and FJ62, and since the FJ62 and the FJ80 share the same A440F tranny, will the part-time FJ60/62 split case fit on the back of a FJ80 A440F?

I don't think so - can't remember just why. But it's not a popular swap.
