I have a leak from the transfer case boot shown in photo below. Ive found the parts schematic also below, but cant for the life of me source the part numbers of the gaskets. Does anyone have a lead on part #21 / #22. Any advice on repair / install would be greatly appreciated!

21 is a dust shield part number 90303-23019, NLA. 22 is an O ring part number 90301-22028, also NLA. This is going by the style of the high low shifter linkage which ended 4/75. O ring is where it's leaking. Once the dust shield was saturated with oil it leaked into the boot. If the housing worn a new O ring is only a temporary solution.

Not necessarily

Likely source for the parts you need (if still available):

3 & 4 Speed Transfer Case Gasket Set - $18.50
Kits include gaskets only, please order seals shown below as needed.
(Fits 69'-7/80' FJ40/55)
Part# TCGK6980

The 4WD shifter is a separate part on Toyota's parts system. Probably because it came in vacuum and direct styles. Not sure if the parts are in the transfer case gasket kit. Was think they would be a kit to refurbish the shifter but not seeing one. Amayama does show the complete shift box available. Interesting still shows available. Been my experience with Amayama is parts they show available is not the case. Order plenty of part they either come back as NLA or out of stock. Those they show out of stock I know haven't been made for years. Order on the off chance they had it.

Drain the earl first. Sometimes there isnt enough room between tcase and frame to get the selector housing off.

Personally I lift the passenger instead of draining the transfer case. Besides not having to drain case you have more room to work under the vehicle. Can't stress enough be sure the vehicle is well supported. Before crawling underneath push the vehicle sideways. Rather have it fall when your not underneath it.
