There is one HELL of a sheer force on that pitman arm bolt. I can almost hear the phone call now...

Crapzuk: >Hello<
Offroadr1: >Jason, this is Joey... What you doin' buddy?<
Crapzuk: >Nothin'<
Offroadr1: >Good, then you can come help drag my non-steering ass out of the woods then huh?<
Crapzuk: >Dammit Joey.... be there in a few....<

If that is where it fails, he will be a very lucky man ;)

That's :hillbilly: booty at it's best.......... or worse
Let's start with the steering "spacers", battery location, custom crossmember, etc. this list could get long.
Plan B - start over by doing a "little" reading. Seems to me you need to accumulate the knowledge of what's right, wrong or safe.

Steering spacers are way bad, I've tried to talk hime out of that... Battery location is not unsafe, I've mounted lots of batteries in the similar position with no issues, cross member is dookie hole ugly, but whipped up quick to work in a VERY tight space untill a belly skid could be made. It should work fine though...

whats wront with the battery or the trans mount. i know the steering needs work, but that is getting it on and off the trailer for now. im looking for a pitman arm with moredrop. it will clear the springs and the spacers are more for the angle on the joints and keeping them off the arms. it should be fine with a drop pitman arm. eventually it will have full hydro behind the axle, but i dont think ill be sheering off 2 3/4" grade 8 bolts. also i dont think im gonna have any problems with the trans mount either. its not meant to be the crossmember, that hasnt been put in yet.

vibration

this is all very helpful. i am gonna put an 80 series axel on my hj 47 my question is regarding vibration. my rig is not for the trail it will be mostly on freeways and bumpy road. there is an off set on the driveshaft going from the pumpkin to the transmission will this cause vibration at 75 MPH on the freeway. any experience with this? if there is what is the remedy? :bounce::bounce2:
