I bought a '78 40 series rolling chassis, harvested the axles and need to sell what's left. I'm asking just more than scrap price, so as to not have someone just scrap them. I could do that myself. Just don't want them to go to waste. I can help with transport and/or loading.
The frame has been modified some, so some TLC will be needed to get it back to stock. Both have been in arizona most of their lives. There is superficial rust on the frame. I harvested the axles from the '78 rolling chassis and they look fantastic after refurbishing.
F/R axles are out of a running truck, my daily driver. Been sitting about a year now. Both have been converted to disc. Unknown mileage on them, but they are fully operational. I also have the steering rods. Knuckles are leaky, so a gasket set and bearings would do them some good. Rear is not leaky. Pinion bearing in the rear has been replaced. I have some bearings and parts to go with. I also have the rear fine spline axles from a newer model year to swap in so it would be possible to run lockers with those. I am pretty sure that the '66 course spline is not compatible with lockers. Frame has been converted to a saginaw box power steering.
Any reasonable offer will be accepted. I figure scrap value is around $90-120, so call it $200 for both axles and the frame, ish..
