Just a reminder that I am still waiting (quietly) in line (near the front I hope) for the 2F pump bracket for motors taped for the stock PS bracket... (late 40 & all 60s)

the bracket needs some refinement. next weekthe shop will be closed; we're going to the lslc roundup in TX. but i should be able to build version 2.0 in tale march and have it back in a 60 for some real-world testing.

not yet. i lost my full-time employee/mechanic a few weeks back and have not been able to devote any time to making brackets for the other engines. i already have a working prototype for the late 2F in the fj60s, a mock-up for the 3fe and the 2h will be after that......

Hey Georg. Sounds like you're very busy these days. but I would like to express my great interest in the 60 series PS conversion bracket. Just acquired a new 60 and the PS pump is leaking like a siv. I would also be interested in a full kit as I have not acquired a saginaw pump. However, I would like to get a working solution as soon as possible, meaning, if the brackets are ready now (but not the kit), I'll take one!

thanks for the post. no progress with the 60 series bracket kit. but i do have a complete 60 series mock-up engine at the shop now mounted to an engine stand so the project will be a lot easier to deal with.

Reading through your posts it looks like this install is a little hard to do with an older FJ40 is this right? I have a 1969 FJ40 with the factory manual steering still in place. What is needed to convert my older F engine rig to PS with this kit?

hey robert.
thanks for the post. do you have the original head on the engine? if so, then it should only have two bolt boles n the passenger side of the head for the engine hook, not 3 bolt holes for the alternator bracket. is that correct?

Hey George,

I have the original engine and head, this engine only has 8k total from factory. I dont currently have access to my 40 (in Alaska) but if anyone has info on a '69 head bolt pattern that would be great. Does the Signaw kit bolt up to the kit you sell?
