Spent the day getting ready for the "big" snowstorm. Mostly moving wood so I had room to plow. Cut five tulip poplars, now I've got a five year supply of crappy wood. Paid to have them cut, being next to the buildings, 30" and 80'+ tall .........................and possibly hollow................

I just caught a glimpse of what looked like a Cruiser in a Macy's Polo Ralph Lauren TV commercial. there were two quick shots of a green Cruiser and maybe its just me, but it looked like it had a T-bird on the hood, no bezel, and a hood spear in the first shot. Anyone else see it? Maybe its just too much egg nog...

Yeah. Spent sometime try to find it on the web. In the quick grabs I couldn't see any indicators on the guards. I'll keep a further eye out it is on a bit here at the moment.

I saw it too. But I used the DVR to go back and take better look. It was a later model FJ40 with a early bib with the parking lights. It was not a FJ25 or even a early FJ40. I wasn't that impressed. Sorry that's just my .02

hey, I'm new to this forum. How do. I'm trying to find some info on a Noritake bone china figurine. No, seriously.

My dad spent 27 post WWII years in Japan. My mom was Japanese. Both of them are gone now so I can't ask them. I remember my dad saying that he did some consulting work with Toyota. I think at that time we lived in Nagoya in a Japanese neighborhood. It had to be in the late 50's/ early 60's. Any info about this FJ-25(?) would be appreciated.

I think I saw something like this sell on Ebay years ago. Think they we given to members of the US military when Toyota was trying to get a contract with the US Army. Might try sending a PM to Landpimp here on Mud. He knows about about the early Land Cruiser collectables. Maybe Cruiser_Nerd (Jim) might have a idea about this to. I'm sure this something you wouldn't want to part with but if you do I would love to buy it.

I have never seen a china rendering before. Toyota was very big in presenting items like these to prospects. I can't find the detail on the last auction I saw, but what you usually see is the cast metal cigarette cases. There was one that was on ebay that had a similar story behind it, a gift to a family member. Very cool collectible.

Local note, although most of these early dealerships turned into something big................Blonder's was (is) one of the larger junkyards in the state.
