So is this one of those New England low rust trucks? Looks like a little POR15 and you should be good to go. You really need to trade the 59 for a hard top FJ25. That way you will have some where to mount the air horns.
You really are going to the dark side. I'm at least using a late model FJ40 to do that. I should post a couple of pictures of the 1982 tub and frame I picked up. This isn't one of the no rust Arizona vehicles this one came from Florida. If it had a top or wasn't winter my wife would have probably made me sleep in it

Trip back through NYC was overall uneventful but hellish.............went to hit my ten year old half bottle of rum Saturday night and it tasted like weak mouthwash.
