Cleaned and scoured PHH pipe and passenger heater pipe to repaint them black again.

Cleaned up sensors and will install these tomorrow. Spent the rest of my time throwing away boxes and putting tools away.

Sensors in and a knock sensor terminal crumbled, so ordered a replacement.

3 coats for the heater pipes.

Been following your thread for a while. I'm in awe!
Cheers!

Found out why my EGR has never worked. 😆

Even after boiling the intake manifold at the machine shop, this port was STILL blocked by carbon. Currently scraping it all out.

Manifold, upper coolant elbow and engine hooks cleaned and polished up.

Going to start on this mess and replace the hoses and a VSV.

Coolant hardlines dry.

Added some caps to the hose clamps I trimmed up a bit.

These up next for a scrub and paint.

Knock sensor terminal repair came in and I swapped the old with new.

Wrapping up the fuse box wiring as my terminals came in.

A bit of a change in my diagram. Instead of the ABS feeding the York relay and fan fuses directly, I have them both attached with ring terminals at the main power wire of the fuse box. This wire is the same wire that feeds the ABS and a less intrusive install. The ABS fuse terminal will just power the York compressor and use a 20amp replacement fuse.

Lower intake manifold installed with new gasket and torqued up. PHH pipe installed and fuel filter attached.

Carfully cleaned up the nasty fuel rail.

20211007_133333.jpg

Injectors came with new seals when cleaned and tested, but I replaced them with the OEM seals and installed on the rail. I also replaced the crush washers where applicable.

After installing the fuel rail, I added some extra heat protection on #6 and #5 injector wires with DEI wrap since they are right there at the EGR pipe.

Little coolant hoses starting to go in now and replaced the fuel line at the FPR.

New valve cover came in. Notice the new large drain-back hole on the baffle. I've held off installing it because it might become red.

If you’re considering other people’s votes: keep it stock. Stock is beautiful. Otherwise red looks great too!

I was not successful in opening the factory crimps like I thought I could, so I made two changes.

First with the headlamp circuit, I ordered a step down crimp size 8awg to 12awg. This allowed me to connect the fuse bridge on one side and the power and fog lamp wire on the other.

Second was the DRL circuit. I re-ran this wire into the cab and utilized an add a fuse.

Cut a second opening on the bottom of the fuse box.

20211012_135657.jpg

Wrapped everything up once again and finished.

Nice work, did you completely remove all your ABS wiring? Sorry if noted, haven't been on here for a bit.
If you hitting a wall on wiring, Molex and Tyco electronics offer some great solutions with connectors and tooling,
Thank you. Wiring is finished with exception to the end side of fog lights, which do not exist at the moment and come with Molex connections. I will keep those places in mind for the future. 🙂

Regarding the ABS I removed everything except the sensors.

My OCD needs to fix that upsidedown 10 amp fuse. 😆

Paul, you’re going so deep (sts). When do you expect to get her running again?

Sorry, what's sts?

Not sure on running because no turbo. But I will have it 99 percent by next week if all goes well and I have time. I just received the last package I needed which is another VSV for the upper manifold and a new accelerator cable.

If push comes to shove I will reweld the down pipe back on temporarily.

That said, I still have a huge list of future to do's....
