Someone with fabrication facilities should buy that, reverse engineer it, then build and sell a bunch of them to 'mudders, then actually deliver them.

20k miles after refresh and running like a champion. 
At 220k miles now and another 5k oil change in the books. I will never get tired of how easy it is to replace the oil filter or work on other stuff with the evap canister relocated.

I read another post recently where the evap canister was relocated down on the frame. I like the idea but how will it fair in the long term being subjected to water crossings and such?20k miles after refresh and running like a champion.

Mine’s almost 8 years old and can still run my ARB fridge for two days and still start the carDisappointingly, the Odyssey battery is failing to hold up overnight with the fridge running and it is just shy of 4 years old. Fingers crossed I get a free replacement.

I like the way you secure the battery cables.
It’s a struggle for me to get that group 31 battery in there 79 lbs.

Have not completed, but will in short order, run a hose from the vent port up high. Having said that, it is up pretty high.

It’s a struggle for me to get that group 31 battery in there 79 lbs.
I have a Sears diehard platinum 31m made by the same company and it is 10 years old and still performs.... I only replaced it because of age concerns.

I like the idea but I don’t think these canisters are designed to be submerged. Not really sure…

It is sealed and a non issue, IMO. All modern vehicles have them located here. My canister is currently 32" above the ground and I will likely never subject my Cruiser to that depth of water. Not worried at all when it comes to this, and I am a cautious person. In fact, I believe this is even slightly higher than where the factory vent tube terminates at the front frame rail....

Odyssey is sending me a new battery. I am very glad to have made the 4 year cutoff and that they stood by the claim.
Good going… I bought an X2 group 31 in 2021. That’s batteries and bulbs brand. American made, used to be North Star.
I’ve had good luck with Optima in my Cummins pick up over 20 years. Run them 8 years then replace.
I will review your thread to find out which canister you are running. Freeing up space under the hood is an idea I like.
Did you ever check the voltage with your fridge running? I'm switching back to non-AGM for the SAS trip as I installed the Eco Flow Alternator charger without replacing the alternator. Perhaps when I spend money on my Alternator then I'll be able to spend money on an Odyssey.
The 80A alternator is not keeping up and the charger is bringing my voltage down and AGM batteries don't charge at low voltages as the Flooded Battery.
So... any alternator recommendations that pair nicely?

Many years ago I measured draw. I have never had an issue with the stock alternator. But having said that, the last 20k miles are with a 150 amp Toyota alternator.

That’s not been my experience running a group 31 odyssey.
It was 8 years old and still holding a charge and starting the truck only replaced it for peace of mind.
Can sit in camp 2.5 days running my 52 quart ARB fridge and still start the truck.
Very happy with it !
