Yeah, I am seeing the finish line but nervous about it all, since every system has been addressed or upgraded at the same time. Keep some fingers crossed for me. There is a sense of comfort that I can almost picture every square inch of the truck from memory now.

EGR cleaned out and new gasket.
Zip tied the harness up and was able to pull the heat sleeve all the way over the EGR union nut.
Upper coolant pipe, new gasket and alternator bracket in.
Power steering hoses, reservoir and cooler installed.

You have experience and know many that have coated their valve covers. Would you recommend paint or powder coat?

I can definitely NOT recommend anodize. That was a total failure
Powder coating is totally fine as is Cerakote.
Mine is PPG primer/paint/clear with hydro dip. From what I can tell each seems to hold up just fine. In fact even the rattle can that I did on my first turbo cover is still totally fine.
I have Thermo tech products as well. Quality stuff.

Very nice. Thank you for the advice. That is the kind of red I am envisioning. (Your rattle can) Something like a Supra red... It seems very fitting to accompany the turbo. Love seeing these OEM parts. What made you decide to go with the 95-97 rad vs the brass three-core of the 93-94? I think I have that correct. I remember reading arguments for the brass three core as it has superior cooling but I don’t know the empirical evidence to back that claim.

Couldn't comment on cross compatability, but aluminum is the better choice I think.

They’re compatible based on my research. My 97 has an off-brand rad in it and I plan to replace it with OEM. I’ll likely go with aluminum but I’m considering the brass.

Good choice on the later model aluminum radiator from trad. I’m running one in my 93. You are being very thorough in this quest. It never occurred to me to replace the radiator mount insulators.

I didn't replace the radiator isolators, just scrub every nut, bolt and part before installing.
I replaced the valve cover because the baffle has a bunch of crap rolling around in it from when I hot tanked it. Didn't want to take a chance on failing to flush it all out.

Some little things got done...Throttle body pipe and hose on as well as heater pipe.
Manifold support bar.
Removed vin plate and test fitting the York compressor.
From the factory, the new hood insulator doesn't come with a nicely done black finish, so I took a page from NLXTACY and sprayed it with some fabric black. Looks WAY better now.
