Interesting.. good point I used the permatex grey stuff.. It says it is noncorrosive as well..

Was definitely an issue on mine that went away after I did this. Didn't know about sliding them off and did it the nice gorilla way with a plastic putty knife.

Has anyone done this on the door molding too? The doors drain better, but I wonder if it would be best to remove/reseal those pieces.

I have some corrosion beginning on my doors so I have put some thought into this situation. Once I had the weep holes clean water flows down those windows and into the doors like nobody's business. My view is that those seals are there to keep some water out but know I will g there's no way to keep it all out. So it diverts its through the door and out the bottom. The area under the rear slider was meant to keep water out and not allow any into the vehicle. Ive had some rough fogging problems because of moisture getting into the car. Ive cleaned all the drains and have noticed a huge improvement. This fix is in the way.

anyone have the part number for the sliding trim piece? I just tried doing this, but the end caps were not budging out of the trim, and I ended up breaking the ends of both. felt good to clean under there and put some silicone, but now I've got another issue.
