Just wanted to brag on my Dad, he has been working on his 40 for a year now and just about has it 100%. Here's a few pics, I convinced him to go with the stock wheels and he was glad he listened.

In the interest of tech, what is the best way to plug the carb heater hole on the intake manifold? Thanks

Nice looking Land Cruiser.

Please post a picture of this "carb heater hole".

how rare is that...."finished the LC" don't hear that too often! nicely done!

I wish I could, he was telling me about it over the phone. (we live 1,000 miles apart) I think its a hole above the exhaust and on the underside of the stock 2f 1978 air intake manifold, bout the size of a baseball? Anyone know what I might be blabbering on about?

maybe my dad will brag on me when i finish mine. him and my whole family laughed at me when i bought it and said i would never finish it. so far he is shocked how much work i have done, so hes kind of shut up lately about the doubts

You should have him post up some pictures of that radial engine aircraft in the background... ;)

finished

what do you mean finished? you have an unplugged carb heater hole:)
you mean this?
EGR removal - 83 2F desmog - Land Cruiser Tech from IH8MUD.com

or where the flapper used to heat the bottom of the carb like the pic?

do you have a manifold or a header?

great job on the rig!

x 2 on the radial, rebuilt one in school many years ago with a instructor who was a radial ninja! That Master rod thing is pretty weird when you first see it:)

Maybe a DC6 or DC7 tanker? Marana, Arizona?

I am beginning to believe that "It won't be done until I sell it."

Very nice rig! Your dad did a great job. Now he can help you finish.

How did you know that? Woa, ESP- stay away from that guy!

Very nice looking cruiser! Love the mustard yellow.

Don't forget about the wipers.

Good catch, I told dad the same thing.

very impressive work...

Does he source out for pulling others up by the boot straps??:)

I do like the stock tires, and the hi-lift mount at the rear.
