Finding a NP203 with 10 spline (1 Viewer)

We have a local "U-pull-it" scarp yard out here in farm county that has about a half dozen chevy K series trucks in the 1974 range +- a year. What are the odds one will have the old style 10 spline from SM465 to NP203? Are there any other trucks I should be looking at? I know Dodge and Ford ran a NP203 for a while but not sure if they ever mounted it to a 465.

If my memory is correct in GM trucks the 4 speed/203 combo only was used a couple years. I had one in a 1974 3/4 ton. Might of been used in 73 or 75.

Yeah, the combo is pretty rare. The SM465 that's now in my 40 was bolted to a 203 when I bought it. I sold the adapter on eBay and made all my money back.

Do you want it for a 40? The SM465/203 combo is pretty long. I have only seen it used in a 40 with an extended frame.
