Thanks for having me up last night Aaron. I learned a ton and you were very helpful to all my newb questions, I appreciate it. Also thanks for taking me for a ride in your FJ and then letting me drive that was awesome1

Any time man

Today I got all the front end parts primed with some high build urethane primer.
Then I was going to go to my friends dads 81st birthday party, but then my uncle stopped by that just came from the party with his truck to borrow a compression tester......And then the stowaways unloaded from under neath his truck! Two little kittens had climbed ontop of the fuel tank and rode for 30 miles at 65 mph underneath the truck.
Needless to say they were pretty frightened, and catching them was kinda a trick.... So the kitties are spending the night in the porch with food and water and I am returning them to the farm in the morning.

LOL...glad you will be bringing them back to their homes

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been busy doing the excavation for an addition to the house. I have all the front end bits primed and sanded ready for paint when I get some free time.

Looks great so far

Does anybody know where I can get a fuel pump rebuild kit for the original 1970 pump?

To answer your last (unanswered) question from 2013, fuel pump rebuild kits are NLA.

Lol, yeah I think I'm going to end up buying some material and doing that myself when the time comes. I have a 185 compressor rented for monday to media blast all my body panels that don't fit in my small blast cabinet.

Replacing the rear wheel tops tomorrow, the factory ones had some rust bloom between the seat mount brackets and skins.

Got a little side tracked today and replaced the cross member on my defender with my buddy.
