LOL.. I can't read a damn thing on there! Whomever has this suppliment needs to get it scanned and added ASAP!!

Ok just went and confirmed that the large blue connector that is seen in the picture goes to the brake pedal switch. So these are the brake/tail light wires that you indicated in your post!!!!
Hmmm...so with the key out of the ignition and the engine off, when you stomp on the brake pedal, the brake lights should light up. Do they?

And if you hold down the brake pedal while the brake lights are lit up (key still out and engine still off), can you turn on the radio?

Hang on a second, this large blue connector has nothing to do with the one that the Radio is spliced into, right?

So this large blue connector is the one in the forefront of the picture you posted? What are all the wire colors that go into/out of it and where do they go/come from?

EDIT: That would make sense if this has something to do with the aftermarket Cruise Control install...when you brake, it's supposed to turn off the Cruise Control...

From what I can tell the GL and GW wires go into the blue connector and two individual Green wires come out that both go to the brake switch.
Pressing the pedal with the engine off, key out of the ignition the brake lights still light up but the stereo does not come on nor can you power it on.

So, I think I might be a little confused here...we've got two blue gizmos now we are talking about:

Blue gizmo 1: similar to the one shown in the following picture, except on your vehicle the Yellow power wire from your Radio is connected to a Red wire which splices into (in the same fashion as the green wire shown in the image below) a Green wire with Blue strip (GL) (which does the same job as the red wire does in the image below).
And this GL wire goes to ?? and comes from ??

Blue gizmo 2: functions differently than Blue gizmo 1? If yes, how does Blue gizmo 2 work?
...somehow it has two wires coming in and two wires coming out? It has a GW and another GL (different from the GL in gizmo 1?) coming from where?? ...and the GW is connected to a G wire and the GL is connected to another (different) G wire through this blue gizmo 2? And where do those 2 G wires go??

Hopefully Trollhole will upload that scanned copy of the Supplement tomorrow...so I can take a better look at it...and be able to read it...!

Gizmo 1 = aftermarket splice connector
Gizmo 2 = stock connector for the brake light

Gizmo 1 is spliced into the GL wire that obviously must be a switched hot wire, BEFORE Gizmo 2. Since you can replace that brake switch (if it ever goes bad or whatnot) there is a connector that makes the replacement easy.

Greg, is the GL wire that goes into Gizmo 2 the same exact GL wire that the Radio splices into using Gizmo 1?

You are correct sir!

Ha Ha! OK!

So, if Gizmo 1 is spliced into the exact same GL wire that leads into Gizmo 2...AND...Gizmo 1 is spliced into that GL wire between the 15A 'STOP' fuse and Gizmo 2 (see image below of the wiring diagram)...then that is NOT a switched 12V source for power to the Radio...

...to convince yourself of this, trace line C from the 15A 'STOP' fuse back to the battery, and you will see that line C does not pass through the Ignition switch...and therefor by definition...is not switched...

If you disconnect the Red-Yellow wire that leads to the Radio from it's splice into Gizmo 1, does the Radio still power on?

EDIT: What I'm thinking here is that Gizmo 1 might be for the 12V constant source (Radio preset memory), no?

I will have to get into the dash this week to see. Probably do it on Friday since I have the day off and will be looking for stuff for me and my nephew to do. Could definitely be the 12v constant for the radio but then if that trips why would the radio be resetting other functions?

Normally when the "trip" would happen I would have to reset the clock and button colors on my stereo but the preset channels would remain. I am really kind of afraid to take the dash apart this spring/summer and find a cluster of wires in the from the POs.

LOL.. while you are at it J, might as well have him swing through Reno/Carson so that he can help me with BeBe! It is always amazing to see what POs will do to trucks to tap into other power sources.

I need to find a small fuse box locally to install in my cab somewhere and then run that to my aux box from SLCFJ62 (headlight upgrade one) so that I can be done with this and have proper, GOOD power sources for things in the cab.

SL... I need to put you on a plane to come out and re-wire Goss... HA!

J
I'd love to give you a hand, J...or five...give or take a dozen or so...(the actual number is directly related to two factors: 1) number of employees at any given time 2) beer)
...we'll wire it all up...make it seaworthy...and drive it to Australia...and then the rest is up to the Aussies (I can't believe I just allowed myself to say that...we could be in real trouble now...)

You know as soon as you start posting up electrical dilemmas on Goss, I'll pitch in as best I can for sure...but I'm thinking when push comes to shove, Johnny's gonna have the best (clearest) perspective all things considered...

I'll drive him out from WY, G... Then he can catch a flight from Reno back East...

Ha Ha! Change of plans...set sails for the great state of Nevada...Vegas or bust!

It's NOT THAT BAD... But there are JUST SO MANY RED WIRES RUN BY THE PO!!!! s*** I JUST WANT A GREEN ONE!!

I keep checking to see if that scanned copy of the Supplement has been uploaded, but still no doing...I'd really like to get a clearer look at the two other circuits that show GL wires.

Well, I agree...all great artists put as much effort into the things not seen by the public...and it is the Holidays, so a little green to balance out the red is certainly called for (see, this is were Johnny would come in real handy...must...stay...focused...)

Yeah I know I keep looking in hopes that it is there and I can nab it and throw it on my dropbox account (thus I will always have it!)..

Ok so here is something you can help me on as this will be a project with the nephew I am thinking.
As I said I have one of the Ultimate kit Headlight upgrades from SLCFJ62 (had someone build for me). So it has to extra fuse circuits that I can use for auxiliary items.

So this is the setup from Ks thread...

Since I am a complete idiot when it comes to electrical (think which end of the hammer do I use now?!) for the second (bottom) lead how do I make it so it is switched for IGN/ACC?
From there I will run it from the engine compartment back into the cab to a small fuse block that will power a couple things; but mainly there for the stereo.
