By the way, there's more involved with a 2" vs. 2.5" discussion than just the shock. The coil also has some bearing on, but I don't know the magic formula.

Can you give anymore details? I've read a ton of shock threads here and much like NLXTACY I've seen discussion, but never an install or even an issue besides possible tower modification. Is that what you are referring too?

I ordered the Sway mounts as well as the Extensions for the rear.

I am Running FOR - Frankies coils, talk about a tough one to valve shocks for since the rates are locked up and possibly MISSING the key lol!

No and no.

I honestly don't know the vehicle weight, coil rate, to shock diameter implications.

No installation issues or modifications from 2.0"-2.5", as far as diameter is concerned.

Tell Josh to get cracking and get those things on the site.

Hey Joey PM on the way.... I have been busy 'cracking' this past week moving family and business across town :) Operating AJIK from my iPhone has had it's own unique set of challenges, as the site operating platform is not accessible for updates. If your keeping the stock mounts look at Slee's new shocks they are selling. They are made by ADS and are a great product, far better then Fox and Radflo for sure..

Just curious, why are they better? :meh:

Thanks

Thanks

Everyone seems to have both good or bad experiences with all the big shock players. Radflos seem to be lover until you visit the 100section. Kings are great cept for CS. Blah blah. ADS seems to be a seasoned player in the shock world. I think I will never know what is the best. I think my best will not be your best.

There are reasons to like each brand...and I'm sure there are reasons to dislike as well.

Steve has been as stated by someone else already in the shock world before a lot of these shock companies were even established. Plus he builds coilovers and shocks for monster trucks come on! :).. I have had my shocks for a couple years now and haven't had one issue and they are beefy as hell which is what these tanks need. I had bilsteins prior and they were crap, faded way to quickly.. Don't get me wrong radflo and fox are great but I like the best...

ROCK if you have these please post up pics and info. We are all hungry for ADS info.

Yes please post up so the rest of us can be informed of how great ADS is. I am in the market so please pics and info!!

Hey, how ya doing? Did you find some rear uppers yet? I haven't but i did sell off my other shocks and springs, still awaiting the call that my Frankies are ready

Just got in my front spring spacers. 2" just in case. ;)

Are the spacers Metaltech or home brew?

Decided on LANDTANK's DIY Panhard kit over just buying a set. I'm really going out of my way to stay OEM rubber bushings. If it means chopping up my panhards to weld in a joint, I'm gonna do it: http://ajikoverlandexchange.com/products-page/landtank/diy-pan-hard-joints/

I also ordered up LANTANK's HD extended sway bar links: http://ajikoverlandexchange.com/products-page/landtank/heavy-duty-sway-bar-links/

Also ordered up Slee's front sway blocks and rear sway brackets: http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/suspension_pieces_spacers.htm

There are also LANDTANK's front tabs that aren't up on the AJIK site yet, but I have those coming as well.

Well...I think its down to shocks. For the time being I've relegated myself to just going OME L shocks for the time being. They are cheap and they will work. Then after my trip I can decide what I want in a shock after the rest of my new suspension settles. Then I will order up my new reservoir shocks. Brand is TBD.

That looks really good. Nice rock light placement. Have a side view of your rig?

Im amazed those lights are still on there.... in one piece. You can see where the tube had actually flexed into the quarterfender.

I give you a lot of credit. You take your time, research and make decisions based on best available information. I'm watching with interest. A new lift is in the distant future.

Did you install the supercharger and are you running the 1st gen land tank maf?
