This was more or less my inspiration for the design
I think I used 1/4 flat aluminium flat plate and 1/2" brass fittings 90 from home despot. I got the metric bolts from them too, I cut the gasket from a sheet of heavy gasket paper from NAPA. This was done in about 1991.

I'll add some pictures later today.

My dad was an aviation guy. He told me an electric blower would be the ticket for Elsie to meet the occasional need for more power. Personally I'm a big fan of turbo chargers - plan ahead to make up for turbo lag. Driving is a job and requires thought.

If you think you might need 4WD - turn in the hubs. Tire chains are much easier to put on if you can drive onto them before you are stuck.

If you think you might need carburator heat turn it because if you wait too long it might not work. When I move to the hill I would ice the carb on the long grade to town in the winter. I built a fluid heat riser for the intake due to running a header. Problem solved - I can't recall icing up since.
You mean de ice? Average temp here's sbout 68 so not too worried. The other way, that stainless header's going to get hot...
