Hey, is that at the V-Notch??
[/quote]

The only "V-NOTCH" I know of is on Upper Woodpecker and I'm not sure that I have any pics of it. It's such a "non-obstacle" anymore, that you barley have to touch the rocks to clear it. The sand has filled it in by probably 2 or more feet...it's almost paved.

yeah thats the wall next to what we call the V-NOTCH, so far mike has only climbed the V-NOTCH once

Ok, I know what you're talking about now. We never had a name for that little chute you guys are talking about., but we've always said it would be a cool obstacle. Noone I know has tried it yet, but I'd like to see someone do it.

plenty of people have done it, mostly the bigger built buggy type rigs. i wont take the pig in there but my buddy has attempted it 3 times in his 4 runner, actually did it once.

Phil,
the obstacle we're talking about is the "V-NOTCH" just to the right of the pic you posted on Martinez. It's to the left of that wall as you aproach. I never called it anything exceot for "that little chute next to the waterfall on Martinez", but it seems that others call it the "V-Notch".

I have been up the Martinez loop several times. up past the mine if you have a built rig you cav run the wash to yellow belly ledge. If you have a stock rig you can still make the loop you just need a good spotter and take the by pass around the water fall just past the cabbins. A buddy of mine made the loop in a stock pathfinder with no body damage. Anothe good stock trail is the coke ovens it is doable if you take the right bypasses. The wash at Ajax is i fun run too I missed the opertuity to run it this week but the SWANKy (South West Arizona Nissan Klub and Yota) group did there Arizona run up there. I am shure they got some good pics and maybe some CARNAGE :o

One of my goals is to break the 60 in on Martinez.
Hopefully that'll happen this year.
I've owned it for a year plus now and haven't taken it off pavement yet. :(
Keeping my fingers crossed for a combination graduation/maiden voyage up and around Martinez, Battle Axe, Coke Ovens, etc.

its called " 3 Fools " in Wiekiup!!
