A heat gun/hair dryer on low might help to mould the carpet on the trans tunnel and wheel wells.

The headliner was from SOR. Seems to be better quality than the seat upholstery kit, which is very poor. Both my front seat and the back seat have split at the seems.
strange. i've got a SOR set (carpet, headliner, door cards, seat covers) that was installed in 2012, and it still looks fresh. But I doubt the truck has 11,000 miles on it in the decade since it was installed.

You have a great thread/build here. Lots of great ideas.

Great pics----Question, why do some LV cowl vents have a screen and some have the cover---Like above? I probably should know this but I feel I'm about to learn. My 65 and donor 67 both are screened....

Dunno how I missed this thread! Fantastic! Well done! Coolness in every way!

Thank you. It continues to be my favorite ride! I am putting in a stereo with an amp so I can hear the music over the wind noise. Did a lot of sound deadening and it works great but did not foresee the amount of noise the wind makes going around all the nooks and crannies of the GIFU body! I may be exceeding the airspeed limit of the LV body style? :meh:

My 45 pickup is the same.

Jack,
I will be forever in your debt! The effort you put in to dig up and then get wheels under so it could be transported was heroic! I am still amazed that it all happened. Right place and right time and right person happened so many times with this project. I still have a dream that I will take a big trip and drive out there to her birthing grounds. Who knows? It would be awesome!

I am glad you appreciate it so much. It took me 5 years from the time I was told about it till the time I saved it.
You're always welcome to come visit it's home land.
Between Rick D and i......I doubt there's many LVs left in Arizona.
