Gday,
I apologise if this has been covered somewhere already, I tried searching for a while but couldn't find what I was after.

I have installed an E-locker in the front of my 62. It comes with a switch but I want something that somewhat fits in with the rest of the dash board/era. I will also be adding a spot light switch and eventually a rear locker switch. My wagon is a standard model so there is plenty of vacant area on the dash board.

Could any recommend something like what I'm after or am I the only one old enough to worry about it?

Thanks for you response but sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I am after a factory "style" switch, not a factory switch for an alternate function. I realise that I can go to the wreckers and buy some old switches but I don't want to use a switch that is incorrectly labelled.

A friend of mine had his driving lights installed using a pull style switch similar to those installed on the 40 series.

It looked pretty sweet, very factory looking.

Yeah most repurpose the heater switch to be your basic toggle on/off switch. There is a thread floating around where one of the guys printed a group of images for the screen in said heater button.

I purchased a Hella fog switch from a newer Tacoma and snapped it into an unused knockout on my dash.

Which Hellas did that come with? My old 500FF pencils didn't come with a switch like that. They just came with a chinsy green toggle like you could buy at Radio Shack.

Planing on doing the same thing, just picked up some extra fj40 fog light pull switches, not sure where I will mount yet or .....if ever ;)

He installed it on the switch blank to the left of the steering wheel, right next to the choke/hand throttle. This made it look even better, as the switch was really similar to the choke.

That was my thinking as well, just drill the blank to fit the hole in switch.

I picked up one on eBay and another similar from a vendor here on mud. Both used. Seems like good used is all that’s left
I think the two I picked up new about five years ago for my 62 restoration must have been near the end of the lot. One is the on/off switch for the condenser/tranny cooler fan I installed. The other is just a kill switch to reset the BMW driver seat timer. Used is not the end of the world. Heaven knows I've got a good bit of it working all over mine.
