Here’s a very early rare one 1953 BJT…unfortunately lots of non-OEM parts tho. VIN isn’t correct which I’d guess would be a pain to get fixed. Why didn’t they use the frame number?!?!

Vaguely remember something like this a couple years ago but I think it was the desert tan color. As I recall they actually had used a 45 frame, and transplanted the BJ body onto it. That’s why they listed the 45 VIN. Wonder if it’s the same “restorer”?

New FJ-25 on BAT…looks ok’ish for a classic SA restoration…

I don’t honestly know a lot about the 25’s. I do see some issues right off.

-Gas line in passenger floor
-I feel like the second line on the gas tank isn’t supposed to be capped off?!?!
-Missing knob on dash to open/close windshield vents
-Missing vent screens
-Missing knob on gear shifter(?)
-Odometer is broken (well 7/10ths is)
-Wrong hubcaps
-Hacked out area around steering shaft in cab
-Temp gauge pegged at H
-Wrong oil fill cap
-Fuel filter isn’t OEM and should be placed before fuel pump
-Fuel line across engine isn’t OEM
-Missing steering shaft boot on firewall
-Missing flywheel cover
-Hack welding job on front suspension

What else is wrong?

It looks like they have several cruisers in pic # I see a 40 and maybe a 45.

Curious what you guys would value this at?

Looks like a typical South American build. The front end work looks scary as hell. List of what’s wrong is super long with this thing.

I value SA builds really low since you have no idea what your truly buying, usually it’s all hacked together and slathered with bondo, then shipped to the US where they hope to find a naive buyer.

My guess is it’s a 10k vehicle at best. I would guess this sells for much more to someone who doesn’t realize what they are bidding on.

tailgate, taillamps, license plate light, aftermarket/late model w/s hold down hooks, couldn't be bothered to clean the axle/rods/etc before slapping some rattle can on or is that poor undercoating? love the super long bolt on the aftermarket motor mounts. what's up with the weld bead on the diff fill plug?

which gear shifter do you think is missing knob? i see two. are you looking at ebrake?

Maybe? I circled it in the attached pic. Is there suppose to be something on the top of it? Or is that how they came from the factory?

I don’t know a lot about the early FJ-25’s. My earliest truck is a ‘63. Which is partially why I posted. I want to learn…so if I decide to buy a 25 series I’m more educated going forward. I knew you guys could quickly look at it and see everything that was wrong.
