F Intake on a 2F?

Just curious, I have a 1970 FJ40 with a good intake mainifold on it, no cracks, and was wondering if would fit a 2F w/headers? I tried doing the search thing and could'nt any related threads. Thanks for any help.

it will fit fine.

I assume that you are desmogged? Some of the Vac ports will most likely be different..

Yeah, desmogged, I actually was thinking it would work good because there is no EGR to mess with plating off. Thanks

I did it on my 40. No problem.

The 2F has larger manifold studs than the F...might have to Dremel out the intake a bit to fit. Other than that, no problem.

I wonder if you could shave the deck a little and bump up the compression. Boost power and HP! Best of luck.

Some of the F intakes sit a bit lower in the center where the carb mounts... so air cleaner fitment might be a issue unless some sort of spacer is incorporated.........
