Well since the truck is on jackstands as I wait to get the steering fixed, I did finally mount up the beadlocks. You can hate TG all you want, but they make some really nice wheels :)

Get that junk on the road by Sunday.... Itching to get out and run!

I don't hate TG.

Nice! Did you run any of the winch hills? I hope you took some pics too
All of them except #3 which looked like a rock stacking extravaganza. Didn't winch through any of the others. Ran the rubicon the next day, too. I wish my life consisted of wheeling and sleeping in hotel.

Will upload some pics in another thread

And the dusy the day after that!? :steer:

You haven't got the Hydro Assist mounted yet$ WTH?!?!

And for those tuning in from the latest TG debacle, all is well in the world again. I'm not out to go vendor bashing or sue-crazy because I actually like TG. Hell, I just bought a set of their beadlocks a few weeks ago. They make lots of good parts at good prices and for what it's worth I've had more issues with RuffStuff steering parts than I have had with TG parts. I don't mind my pictures being shared all over the web, that's what they're for. But using them in ad for monetary gain without permission isn't cool no matter how small or silly the photo/product is. So I sent Joseph an email. He apologized, said they found the picture on some random blog site and didn't know who the owner was. Said they'd be interested in using my photos for future ads as well now that they know who I am. And in exchange for using my pic they gave me a hydro assist kit which I really needed. So hey, $300 in free merchandise works for me :)

What else...Stealth Custom Series finally decided to make their F5 in a 17" so I sold the old wheels and bought them in gunmetal for the daily driver

And after a 2yr wait, my CA legacy plates finally showed up! Now there's really no confusing this truck.

Is it true that you have to pay an additional 40 dollars to your registration each year to have the black plates? It looks awesome and considering doing it but the less money I can give to the DMV the better you know?

Yeah - any custom/personal plate has an additional yearly fee. This legacy plate is actually the cheapest. Check out what the other ones cost each year

I was directed to your build by Booger Weldz and really glad to find this great thread !
Trying to build something like yours, but not as nice.... Wondering the GWS of your 80 as it sits?
I might have missed it, but 99 pages wasn't easy for me...

WOW!!! THat is SO sweet!!

Jose, where are you at on the rocker chop for the passenger side? Inquiring minds (and cardona copiers) want to know! :D

Sorry haven't touched it yet. Been working on getting this damn thing back on the road. Hydro assist, redoing all the steering and a PIA front crank / oil pump seal leak!

Good lord man your 3 link didn't take this long...

:-p

Seriously! Too many moving pieces here. Just when I thought I had everything I needed I had to order new stuff and wait for it to arrive. Right now all I'm waiting on is a 2nd fan and the AN-to-barb fitting. Luckily they'll get here fast with Amazon Prime.

So your saying thanks to Amazon prime we will run Slick Rock north straight to Barrett this Sunday.... ? :-p

I know wishfully thinking, sounds like Barrett will be a slower go then our pace on Slick last time :-)

I think Barrett is an overnight trip for sure! Sounds like nonstop rock gardens at a snail's pace.

I dub it the mini-dusy. It has some rubicon style wheeling, mostly lots of spots between trees and rocks, rocks and trees, trees and trees... Only 2-3, maybe 4 tough spots, but lots of moderately tough spots between those. Great trail! Could be done 4hrs in,4 hrs out, but way more fun at a slower pace, overnighter... How about slickrock in the morning and in to Barrett lake in the evening, back out the next evening!?
Oh, and bring a bandana for the dust!

SlickRock to Barret? That's like 6hrs of driving to/from!
