I found a T100 and this is my build log. Its a white on tan 97 SR5 5spd rust free New Mexican truck with 204,000 miles. It has a reasonably detailed service history and many major items were fixed within 10k of me purchasing it (rebuilt trans, front end rebuild, timing belt, brakes, TB and MAF cleaning, solid compression test all performed at toyota specialist shops with an A or higher BetterBusinessBureau rating). I drove it home from NM to TN and it was smooth and relatively powerful the whole way.

Here are a few plans I have for the truck:
Baseline
New radio that works properly.
replace worn out tint on front windows.
Manual hubs
DIY Bed Liner
Husky Liners
clean, polish and wax job on the exterior.
Install CREE reverse lights
Install AJIK backpack hooks
ScanGauge II
Front Bumper
Bed Bar
sound deadener
speaker upgrade
Refinish factory wheels
diff breather mod

The very first mod I did was to install my ScanGuageII to monitor the truck on the drive home. Everything was good. The only stored code was a speedometer cable error and according to my receipts it has been fixed. When rerouting the wire this afternoon I noticed the PO had removed the door buzzer. I kinda like that.

The ScanGuage used to be in my FZJ80 and I had color matched it to the oak interior in it. So it blends perfectly with the T100.

The T100 got a few baths after i got home to get all the dust off and out of it. I also touched up a few nicks and worked on the paint in a few places. It is a little dull but just needs a little TLC to be shiny again.

I also had some backpack hooks from the 80 I installed in the Truck. They arent as important in the smaller back seat but will still be useful. I got them from my friend Josh over at AJIK Overland Exchage. AJIK Overland

Last mod of the day is installing some CREE reverse lights I had leftover from the FZJ80 build.

Shouldn't those be red? Just wondering.

Naw. It's the back up lights, for backing up.

I'm digging the T-100 and all it's stockness. What's next?

Where'd you get those lights at? I'd like some for my Taco.

Ive got a new radio on the way. Its also going to get some DIY bedliner. othere than that not too much beyond stock.

I saw the lights in this thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/463719-check-out-super-bright-reverse-lights.html. If i had it to do over i would get them from one of the LED venders on this site like PFRAN or Fully Lit. Im pretty sure theyre an 1156 bulb and is the same as in the 80.

I like your avatar.

The tint is fixed. They were able to match it very close to factory rear window tint and its legal.

Installed the new radio.
JVC KD-X50BT

The radio is awesome. I can pick up radio stations i didn't know were available around here. The bluetooth calls are clear, and the controls are easy to use. im very happy with it. You can find them for $80 delivered if your patient and look.

I also used a spare dash slot blank to make a Bluetooth mic holder and a spot for the spare usb port (i use it for the Bluetooth dongle)

Can anyone recommend a good vendor that might have husky liners for a t100?

Thanks

I ordered mine from four wheel parts and wanted the tan liners as well. As of two years ago they stopped offering tan so I settled for black.

I think I paid 80 bucks for the pair.

Nice truck mine is very similar.

You have an auto? What kind of mileage did you get on its ride home?

5spd trans. averaged around 20 mpg doing 75 or higher most of the trip

Thanks for the info on the liners.

Ive been wanting to scrub the carpet since i got it so I decided to do a little cleaning on the interior today. There is New Mexican dust under and behind everything. The panel removal process wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just start with the bottom door panel with the four screws and work clockwise (counter on the PS) popping out the panels. Be aware you have to remove the grab handles, rear hatch window latch, shifter knobs, and seat belts. Also before you get to the main side panel you have to remove the back seats and panels there. Then the sides just pop right out.

Here is the nasty smelly carpet. One of the PO's had a dog with white hair. I scrubbed it with a mixture of degreaser and some old oxy steam clean stuff that has been in the garage forever. Depending on how it looks I may scrub it again and take it to a power washer.
