A few days after kayaking the truck’s check engine light came on and showed a PO450 code. Womp womp. The truck was sluggish and would shake when I applied gas. Not good. What I could find online showed this code was due to the vapor pressure sensor. It’s no longer available from Toyota but Luckily eBay had a used one from a low mileage 98-01 4Runner which plugs right up to the wiring and clips on the same place -p/n 89460-0W070. I installed it and while I was under the hood I installed new plugs and wires. While doing that I noticed a large crack in one of the vacuum hoses. The hose had different id’s at each end so I had to create a new one using two sized hoses and a connector I had in my air compressor hardware stash.
So far so good. No check engine light and the light tune-up seemed to have helped pep up the truck.

I made an accessory mount and got inspiration for it from my 80 series’ useless cubby insert from witsend. It nowhere near as nice but does the job. Originally I thought I would make my own solid insert to slide into where the cupholder used to be. Then I got smart and just attached the new accessory mount to the cupholder instead. Solid and much easier. I can see and reach all climate controls.
I don’t think I’d ever put cups and the phone there together because of the cupholder deflection but it’s an option if needed.

284581 miles. The ARB turn signals have been losing continuity and hyper flashing lately. I’ve tried new bulbs and tried squeezing the socket connections inside the housing hoping it would help but the problem always returns. I grabbed a set of leds from eBay Australia and some Amazon resistors to try. I had to make some brackets to mount them but they work so far.

Today I pulled the cracked radiator.

What are you replacing it with?
A koyorad c1512 from rockauto.

Originally I bought a shiny all aluminum rad from eBay because they always look so nice and all metal is appealing but it arrived with one side warped in so the mounting brackets didn’t line up. So it’s on its way back and the koyo is on the way.
Here’s the aluminum one. I wish it worked it was pretty.

FedEx delivered the koyo and a new fan yesterday. Their delivery confirmation image was of just trash cans at a house I didn’t recognize so I had my wife check if they were at the right place. Thankfully they were but she said I wasn’t going to like the condition of the boxes. When I got home and saw the boxes I figured I would have to send them back due to damage. Surprisingly they were both perfect! The koyo is a very nice radiator and lined right up to the t100 mounting holes.

Wondering if that KoyoRad is an improvement over the stock GM one.
Granted my GM one has 260K miles on it and no issues so far.

Doubt it. My T100 has 285k miles. It came from the New Mexican desert for the first 205,000 miles of its life then 80,000 in Tennessee. No cooling issues that o know of. I seriously doubt the koyo radiator will last that long simply because it’s an unreal amount of miles for something that goes through so many heat and cooling cycles.

Installed a new fan clutch and fan blade last night. I opened the clutch and piddled with the timing and silicone oil because I like trouble.
The original fan clutch wasn’t “locking up” properly anymore.

Finished up the mild cooling overhaul in the t100 earlier. Ended up putting a new tstat and large coolant hoses on while I was doing the other work along with the rad, fan clutch and water pump I did a few days ago.
Overall the whole cooling system is still looking great. No buildup in the passages and no sludge/milk/ cloudy liquids came out when I drained the original rad.
I am still impressed with the fit and appearance of the koyorad. It came with mounting brackets which is something I have read some other rads don’t have and the factory brackets must be moved over. I kept my old brackets if someone ever needs them.

This maintenance parts list:
KOYORAD C1512 radiator no cap included
Aisin FNT005 fan blade
Aisin FCT013 fan clutch - modified by me
16571-62050 Upper Hose
16572-62050 Lower hose

I have Onestone armrests in my 80 and like them so I decided the T100 needs them as well. These are for a 70 series and needed some modification to fit. These are the browns painted rustoleum dark taupe.

I had an exhaust rattle and some weird exhaust noises develop so took it in to a local muffler shop. 20 minutes and a new muffler and things were back to normal.

Installed the new radio.
JVC KD-X50BT

The radio is awesome. I can pick up radio stations i didn't know were available around here. The bluetooth calls are clear, and the controls are easy to use. im very happy with it. You can find them for $80 delivered if your patient and look.

I also used a spare dash slot blank to make a Bluetooth mic holder and a spot for the spare usb port (i use it for the Bluetooth dongle)

Love this simple mod. I clipped the mic to the coin catcher just to the left, not near as clean as yours though.
