I am looking for an electric puller fan to mount to my stock FJ-40 Radiator. Flex-A-Lite lists model #165. Has anyone used this? Is there a better product?

Is not the Taurus fan a puller fan?

F A Q <---- this is a link

as Poser sugests, go tauras. they pull more air then anything i have found. i used dual haydens for years on an old chevy and the tauras out pulls both of the haydens combined. and this is the page i used for the wiring of my fan and it works great! i got the fixed thermostats (gounds) through www.summit.com i went a 195* (fuel injection) for the low fan on and a 210* for the high fan on.

FYI rockauto.com is selling brand new taurus fan assemblys on closeout for 41.79

Just pick ford -> 1990 -> taurus gl -> 3.8L 232cid V6 MFI (4) -> Cooling System -> Radiator Fan Assembly

First one is the Four Seasons hit the pull down and there is the cheap one.

What is the thickness of the Taurus assembly?

its pretty thick, at least 3or 4 inches. i can measure tonight when i get home if someone doesn't post up.
