Electric fuel pump location

We have the new Chevy 350 and 700R4 transmission installed in the truck. I am running a Fitech EFI and need to find a place to mount the Fitech electric fuel pump and filter. I think it needs to go on the passenger side because of the location of the hard lines. Who has done this and are you happy with the mounting location? I'm thinking of welding some brackets between the frame and the body (on the outer side of the frame. ) Is this a bad idea?

I mounted my pump and filter on the inside of the passenger side frame rail in front of the rear axle near the tank.

Make sure you mount the electric pump back by the fuel tank, if the pump is a pusher type. I think most are pusher pumps ( push the fuel instead of pulling it ).
