i acquired a new rig. posting here vs there because im a mini guy. let's be real, these are just minis with some different features. this is my group of dudes. please don't move it over there.

93 "mini" dc. lhd, sa, 3L diesel.
pretty solid. needs a bit of sorting. couple of small rust spots in the driver footwell.
kind of a long day today so only a few pics. here it is.

no huge plans immediately. we just needed a real car vs eating money on a rental. im a Toyota junkie, so here we are.

long term plans are pretty basic. crossover steering. imo is a necessity and should have come from the factory. turbo because it's slower than an re and im still a little bitter about not being able to sc my 3.4 🤣 possibly grab a couple of lsds because they are pretty common here in the 8" flavor. rcvs if i get into any real offroading here.
it actually rides pretty good on stock springs so no real hurry there.

Oh, I guess since it's SA, and LHD, I will let it live here. I mean, that "other" group does say "JP/AU/EU spec diesels," so technically, this one doesn't fit coming from South America. But, more please ...

¡Sí! ¡Tu Toyota es fantástico!

I love those old 4-doors!

the vehicles that are market specific here are referred to as toyotoshi.
this country had a lot of hackery and some random import laws. it gets many rhd cars that are then converted, poorly or otherwise, to lhd.
most of the surf/4runner stuff is rhd. i couldn't really find any hiace 4wds that weren't converted.
the thing that is really bizarre here are the domestic (usa domestics) apparently there are Brazilian factories etc. but for example there's a chevy d50 down the street. i went by it half a dozen times thinking it was a bronco ii because of the body lines. some early c10s show ford lines. willys jeeps are fords. just really bizarre.

today I was forced to dig into a couple of things. was getting a weird growl when the ac came on.
fired it up and realized the ac wasn't coming on at all now.
found some seriously jank wiring at the clutch that had shorted and blew the fuse. cleaned that up and then figured out the condenser fan the noise. again more jank wires and the fan just kind of jammed into the hole causing the surround to drag. got that dealt with.
adjusted the passenger door.
chased some wiring after I found some more jank shyt in the fuse panel.
idk wtf this was for but it was hitting both shifter sticks, so 45 minutes with a hacksaw and it's deleted. 🤣
broke tools, bled on it, cussed and called it a day.
i miss my tools.
i bought these cheap azz tools for 17$ today. that screwdriver thing died a quick death.
