Well, they weren't open, but the main bag that had the 4 brackets and the bag-o-nuts looked like it had been chewed open by a critter. No biggie for me, I was under the impression that the footman loops weren't included, so had already bought a set anyway:meh:

Other than that, the top is awesome. The Vinyl tops are heavy-duty to say the least. I hope I can get my bows done this weekend and do the test fitting next week:bounce:

my nut bag, lol nut bag, was taped to the bows and didnt look like it was tampered with at all. I didnt have extra bolts and nuts though, but no loops.

i just finished painting my bows with epoxy appliance paint. Put on three coats of paint....smooth as glass.

you can pick it up at home depot...

What color you painting them? Trying to match the rig, the top or a neutral color?

I might do the same on mine if I don't get the local shop to paint mine to match:meh:

yea no loops here.. my package of bolts with the 4 brackets didn't look like it had been tampered with/opened either - anyone have any extras?

Edit: Dusty66 I only need 6 loops since I have the amby top.. I'll take your extras PM on its way...
 
just put the top on today, all i have left to do is put the loops and twisty things on. I must say the top is very very well built and almost has a tight fit without even tying it down yet...


the canvas is three times as thick as my buddies OEM Defender 90. He would buy one from Ehsan if he made them for a 90...

not to add to your headache but I was wondering if you have recieved the extra canvas for the doors yet? I know other stuff was missing so I figured Ehsan would send it all together.... Any news?

Hi Ehsan or anyone who can help...

  1. I did not receive any footman loops.
  2. The front piece has no holes drilled nor are there cut outs for my wipers. See below
  3. The rear T pieces for my set do not line up and I can not attach them. See Pics below
  4. The screw holes in the rear cross piece (the lower one) are drilled completely wrong and do not line up
  5. The upper support for the rear bows have the holes too far apart (I already have the nuts inside my body piece

So am I assembling htis wrong?

Could someone with a successful installation post up some pics of just the bows installed? Also the front piece over the windshield?

I also had some other fitment issues that were taken care of with a 3lbs sledge hammer :rolleyes:

This post has some good info on installing the top. According to this T bars are only needed if you have ambi doors, I dont but I got the T bars anyway. I hope mine has a rear window then I havent checked the canvas yet


If I dont need them I'd be glad to send them


in addition I'll pay for shipping for both if you have a set of 4 speed driveshafts, I just converted from a 3 speed
