I left early this morning to return home to start on a few honey-do items, but wanted to post up some pictures that I took from the east coast pig run. The turn out was low on pigs, but high on quality
There were 4 fj-55s that showed up: bk (that's me), Tom Humphries, Gary Schmauch, and not picutured was Joe Mylies. Lots of other crusiers showed up, including Old Man Don in his 80 and Brian in his BJ4? (both of them from New York)...our polish boys from Conneticut, lots of PA people, MD people, and my own VA people.
Unfortunately, PA is losing a great Land Crusier person, but Kentucky is gaining back Jeff Dozier. Jeff has been an intricate part of the Appalachian Land Cruiser Club. Jeff traded his 55 to Tom last year and recently picked up another 55. I look forward to trying to wheel down in the southeast once Jeff gets moved down there. With a baby due in less than 10 days and a move at the end of the month down to Kentucky.
Lots of great wheeling was had in Rausch Creek up in PA. Rausch Creek has approximately 1,700 acres. by the end of the trip, the damages included a bent tie rod or two (or three), some pin-stripped driveshafts, torn shock mounts, damaged radiator (by fan), John rolling his buggy backwards into a pool of water (and oil) on the comp course - and not to be out done was Gary Schmauch flopping his 55 - here's the after shot:
Gary's nice 70 series - (good thing he didn't drive this on the trail- it could've ended up like his 55)
No trip is complete without seeing Brother Burl without his shirt on:
Here's some more pictures of the saturday run:
