Looking for an early turn signal switch housing like the one in the photo. Note the plate that secures the lever down. I probably have a half dozen of these and they're all the other type where the lever is secured on the bottom by a clip. I just had this lever rechromed so I'd love to be able to find another housing rather than get another lever rechromed.

Thanks!

I though this housing was the same thru the 72 model year.
The switch itself only switched from bullet connector to a plug towards the end of production. The remote piece on the column with lever believe never changed. The lever itself it easy to replace for one housing to another.

They must have changed at some point but I don't know when. The lever is essentially the same but some have a groove on the bottom that receives a clip to hold in place and the version in the photo above uses the plate to hold everything down instead.

I think they ended sometime in late 1963. My mid 63 FJ45 has that same one. Lever also has a nud/button on top to catch the plate.

Good luck with the search.

I don’t remember my early ‘63 45 one looking like that.

Will have to look at my 9/64 FJ45. My 68 FJ40 the levers that cancel the turn signal are both gone. I know my 45 still has them. Those are actually dangerous. Instead of cancelling the turn signal that can bind the wheel from turning. Learn real quick to move the wheel the opposite way and manually cancel the turn signals. I know the 62 I have here had no steering column. My rusted out 61 has the column. Might have one from a 63 I stripped down to the frame because it was sold for a Icon to be made. What is at which location not sure but I should have few early ones around.
