I am looking for an E-Locker harness like the one ORS Off Road Solutions used to offer.
ORS E-Locker Harness - ORS-EL001
Off Road Solutions - Harnesses

Is there anybody out there that makes them?

Thanks,

I'm not sure what ORS use to supply. I know several her on Mud have figured out different ways to modify the factory poo-poo electronics (which has the e-locker working in ways you would not want it to work). Search for these jewels of wisdom, or possibly consider a cable operated e-locker.

I'm not sure what Downey is talking about, my lockers function just the way I want them to.

I retrofitted front and rear lockers into a 1992 80 recently. You can, without to much trouble, install the factory control setup which includes the speed sensing line to avoid engaging the lockers at a damaging speed.

With some harnesses from a junked 80 it took a day to work out the routing and wiring. The mount for the ECU was even in place.

What I did was to build sister harnesses of just the missing lines from the donor harnesses and plug those into the truck's harness so that the factory EWD would still apply to connection points and pins for future troubleshooting.

What are you babbling about? Mine works just fine with zero mods.

The factory system works well, but is somewhat complicated. If I were retrofitting and didn't have the factory stuff, would probably make something more simple. A couple of vendors make kits that are geared to Mini installs and don't use relays.

I would just make the control and harness. I prefer the relay method, both wire diagrams are in these links, pick your poison.

Guys,

Thanks for your reply's.

The harness is for a buddy's truck.

It's a very early JDM with no wiring for the relay, switch etc.

Its a 1990 GX model HZJ81 000111. Probably the 111th truck of that model.

We did an axle swap of 92.

Cheers,

You can get the harness from Toyota for about $30. I would just do this and some trailer wiring to extend it and save yourself a lot of money. It is not overly difficult to wire up..

I have the harness from the axle to the firewall.
