It doesn’t sound any different to me. I’ve only driven a couple miles so far but removing the resonator isn’t like chopping the muffler so likely not much changeThis is awesome. How does it sound with the chopped exhaust?

How was the installation, any issues?Well I got the bumper on and I’m super happy with it! Great build quality and looks great. Because of my 1.5” body lift I didn’t end up cutting very much of the factory bumper off so my oopsie from Black Bear this summer is still very obvious but that’s alright with me. Also rerouted the exhaust out the side while I was in there. Can’t wait to test it out now!

On the site along with the 3d model.I know I saw (or thought I saw) a step by step install guide for the bumper…can anyone provide a link or quickly write one up? Thanks!
Thanks! Can the resonator go back on after installation or is it necessary to use a straight pipe?
Pretty sure it can go back on.Thanks! Can the resonator go back on after installation or is it necessary to use a straight pipe?

Just going to cover the basics of the E&E Off-Road rear bumper install here, not every little step. Feel free to ask any questions, the install was good.
Remove the black wing underside covers. Once you get the main bolts out, you'll be able to wrangle it around to get access to the two hidden bolts that secure it to the body panel.

Remove the stock recover points. I was surprised to find out that the frame coating / paint is applied after the recovery points are installed. It's bare metal underneath, and it was starting to rust. I cleaned it up and sprayed some Rustoleum.

Taped and measured some reference points where I would make my first conservative cut on the bumper skin. The point here is to get enough bumper removed to allow the new bumper to be temporarily installed, so that the full gap required can then be measured, marked, and cut. I used a laser level to mark the line, then I traced it with pencil.

Then start cutting! I was happy that all my old scrapes were now cut off.

Working though install right now. The gaps between top the E&E bumper and the Toyota body to bumper line is 16.5” on the install page but more like 18” with the driver side wing on my truck- leaving a huge gap even though I made a conservative initial cut. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Yup. That was my mistake. I took the 16.5” number on the install guide, added 1/2” to it for safety but the actual number is 18 leaving a large gap. I used some bulb type weather strip to clean it up a little. If I feel energetic tomorrow I might try to shim the main attach point with an m12 washer to tilt it up a little. My initial rough cut was around 18.5", measuring at an angle that follows the wheel well (see photo). I just went out and measured the final distance, and it's 18". Measured straight up-and-down vertical it's almost exactly 16".

You need to make a trip to the US with a friend and stick the parts into your luggage. I have done that on many occasions for myself and friends. That is the overseas version of mud ship. My best coup was importing a complete British cask system for my home brewing (two casks, a beer engine, and all the sundries). My cask system is better than many commercial breweries in the US.Around 300€ shipping -> shipping and price together x 4,5% import tax for car parts -> and this together x 19,5% sales tax.
All together around $2220 in the end… so for a (to be honest) just for fun upgrade is 18% of what I paid for my 200 a little bit too heavy hehe![]()
