Yup. That was my mistake. I took the 16.5” number on the install guide, added 1/2” to it for safety but the actual number is 18 leaving a large gap. I used some bulb type weather strip to clean it up a little. If I feel energetic tomorrow I might try to shim the main attach point with an m12 washer to tilt it up a little.
Did you get this figured out? Let me know if the instructions need clarification.

Thanks @FerrisBueller for the additional help!

Thanks. I would suggest revising or removing the 16.5” dimension on the instructions as it’s quite bit off and resulted in my removing more bumper than I wanted to even after adding some buffer. The gap is not cosmetically great but I’ll live with it :).

Can you post pictures with measurements? Is the LC bumper skin in a different location than the LX?

I think the picture shown in the instructions might be prone to misinterpretation, since the red line makes it look like you're supposed to measure along the wheel well arc instead of vertically like you've shown above. Perhaps updating the picture in the instructions would be sufficient?

Exactly. My vertical dimensions match up with Ferris’s…but the photo on the instructions link look like the intent is to measure along a tangent to the wheel arch. I added 1/2 thinking I’d be on the safe side but the gap there is over an inch.

cool design. Any plans on a steel version?
I don't think so for this design. I did have a hybrid version with steel tubing and aluminum brackets.

Good to know. Are you stock in suspension terms? Were all the lines leading to that or you took the hard ones and maybe taking other lines could have avoided ripping bumpers?
I’m no expert and I was solo/no spotter so maybe there’s a line that would protect a stock bumper but I’m doubtful. I have a 1” lift front and back. I scraped my exhaust and one of the E&E recovery point pretty well.

What tire size you running?
285/65/18 KO2. Aired down to 20 psi for the trail. Stuck to the Moab rock like $hit to a blanket even though it was a little wet in places.

Earlier on this road trip in Death Valley I tried to make it all the way up Echo Canyon through to Amargosa but chickened out at the dry falls climb. Might have given it a shot with a spotter and some other vehicles for recovery if needed.

Yeah. BFGs are the way to go. I am running same size in KO3s but might have to plan better a trip to Moab trails since I am all stock, except for sliders and the OEM strut 1 inch lift. I really want to avoid going aftermarket suspension. The OEM stuff is just too good for my needs and IMO there is no better on road feeling.

I have Bilsteins in the front. I added so much weight up front- supercharger, bumper, winch, tent- that the stock springs and dampers were underperfoming even with the OEM spacer lift and I would hit the bumpstops easily when offroad. In the rear I have stock springs and shocks with a 1" spacer up top.

Ah...totally understandable with all that weight added.

Any plans for a low profile front bumper?
At this time, I don't. The amount of different front ends on the 200 series was the major deciding factor.

A viper type cut back of the front bumper protected by your type low profile system would be awesome.

Interesting "low profile" edge bumper for the 16+ LC200. Quite like the clean look of it. Would expect relative low weight as well.

I think i need this in my life. Is this company legit? And why wouldn’t it fit a 21?
