I wanted to show off the basic and advanced dual battery upgrade options available on our 200-series Land Cruiser builds:

Video 1) Basic dual battery setup

video 2) Advanced dual battery setup

This is timely as I have been considering a dual battery setup. Nice work.

Maybe a question for Slee, but have you tried shoehorning a group 24 battery into the aux tray? I would like to put a group 24 battery and Redarc BCDC1225D in that position. Any pictures of how you mounted the Redarc to the Slee tray?

Great stuff as usual Eric. Thanks for sharing your work in such detail. It is inspiring. What fuse holders are those that you use? I like how they clip together. Do you custom make the bus to join the input side or is that available for purchase?

Thank you @jbs11 much appreciated. Please subscribe to the YouTube channel, I’ll be uploading some very cool stuff soon.

We use the busman midi fuse holders and the bus bars are also from busman, they are made for those fuse holders.

Definitely a @sleeoffroad question. I’ll follow up with better pics of the RedArc mounting bracket soon. Christo may offer feedback.

Eric....these are awesome..... strong work!! I checked out the videos and eventually landed up watching pretty much all your videos on you tube. addictive to say the least. my favorite was the one where you summarize all the after-market customization options that you offer!!!

Thanks you very much. I really appreciate it.

Is this the one you are looking for?

i put the same 1225D and a group 35 in my 2014 2 months back. Cristo has the mounting bracket available, just gotta ask about it when order. At that point, Slee didn’t have it on their site. On my 2014, the mounting bracket fits on the right side of the battery tray (looking into the engine). I think it’s due to the fitment with the HID module on the left side. Can you take a photo of the left side to see the fitment next to the headlamp on the model with LED headlight?

Question (possibly dumb) regarding the moving of the power steering fluid reservoir.
Did you have to disconnect the hoses to re-locate the reservoir?

You don't need to remove any hoses from the reservoir with the Slee battery tray and relocation bracket.

@Eric Sarjeant would you be willing to share what you use for a post for the battery relocation in the advanced setup?

I tried to pause the video, but couldn't get a great angle.

Is it possibly a Blue Sea 2001/2002/2003?

The plastic cover looks more like a Blue Sea 2017? But the 2017 has dual posts.

Did your team make a special bracket for it?

Hi,

Any feedback on the post / bracket used for crank battery relocation? Looking to do this but not sure about that part.

Thanks,
Ben

Did you ever figure out a solution for this? Doing my dual battery now and was thinking my group 31 ought to be the secondary and 35 the primary. Don't really want to modify the factory cables.
