Anytime I open a door and then close it, the doors lock and then immediately unlock all on their own. It doesn't matter if I've used the key fob to unlock them or if the truck has been left unlocked. Anytime a door is opened with all other doors closed, the locks lock and unlock on their own. After I have pressed the lock button on the remote, all doors stay locked.

Has anyone else had this problem? More so concerned about cycling the locks so much to the point they wear out prematurely.

Thanks!

Heat & direct sun on the doors causes the actuators to mess up. Mine does the same and is a common issue. Do a search for door lock actuator and you'll find a bunch of info and how to replace them.

Door Lock Actuator Replacement
Thanks for the tip. Temperature has not been a factor for me as it does this year round here in Colorado.

Edit: I should clarify, they always unlock and lock, so that is not the issue. The motors seem to operate fine. The doors lock perfectly when I lock the vehicle either manually by the door lock button or the remote lock button. It's just a matter of anytime I open and then close a door, the locks cycle from locked to unlocked every time, which made me initially think it was some kind of programming issue.

I’m expiriencing the same issue but sometimes when I run my car for the ac and close the door it will lock all doors except the drivers and then it won’t let you unlock them with the power switch. Real pain with 3 kids yelling at you to get in the car when it 90+ out. If I get to the bottom of it I will share it here

My LC started having this same issue a couple weeks ago. Did you ever find the reason for the issue? I have replaced the actuator on the drivers door in the past. I check all doors when this happens and they all seem to be locking and unlocking.

I've had this problem for 6 years. If you open the drivers door with the truck running, the locks will activate twice.

It also prevents you from ever programming a key. If you don't "double unlock" all doors when you open the truck the alarm goes off.

I could never figure it out and have just been living with it. I will PayPal the first one to figure it all out $50.

Replaced actuators, door lock sensors, tried programming, there's no aftermarket alarm or anything.

My 100 doesn’t have this problem BUT my wife’s 08 4R that we picked up with remote start has some weird lock operations. I gave up (years ago) and assumed it was some weird remote start thing. Do any of you have a remote start installed?

My 100 locks as I drive away and won’t Auto Unlock until I turn the key off. Is there a setting for Auto Unlock after putting it in park? Haven’t dug through tech stream, hasn’t bothered me enough. Just saw this thread and got curious.

What if you disconnect the master switch assembly in the door? Does this still happen?

My daughter's 2000 4Runner will cycle the locks (lock-unlock) after you start the vehicle. No reason for this.

Yes, just went out and tested this and it still does it.
Thanks for doing that. The drivers side door has the capability to engage and disengage all locks. It tends to occur when you shut the “master” door. I wonder if the wiring harness for the drivers door has a short putting energy on the lock engage disengage circuit? Just thinking out loud. Also might be a good test to disconnect each door one at a time leaving the previous disconnected and test? Don’t forget the back hatch. Like I said just thinking out loud.

If you have the remote fobs, please try out the instructions listed on page ten of the RS3200 manual.

I’ll be happy to take the $50 off your hands to fund some parts for my project :)
