Bought by dad a crappy 1200 watt ETQ generator about 3 years ago. He never used it and left the crappy 2 stoke fuel in it. When I opened the tank up the fuel still looked good. Drained it and put fresh gas in it. Still won't run.

Has spark.

I'm pretty sure the carb is hosed and it's one of those carbs you cannot fix except remove the bowl etc.

Any ideas on fixing this hunk of junk. I hate to toss it because it has maybe .2hrs on it total.

Model is a ETG 1200tg

your right...you most likely cant get carb rebuild parts. China only makes X amount of these and sells them to US consmers. Some and i repeat SOME dealers/shops got parts for them but they were not really given parts, they were mostly given whole units that had issues to be scavanged for parts.


If your in my area (fairview rd evening, downtown g-vegas day) and have the carb off and bring it to me i will do my best to bead blast it and clean it. I probably won't be able to match up bowl gaskets/needle but if can get her clean i might be able get it running like new for you.


Consider it a free be job....i might need some nickle/dime 40 parts in the future.
